Volunteer: Youth Empowerment and Support Services
Based in Edmonton, Youth Empowerment and Support Services (YESS) provides immediate and low-barrier 24/7 shelter, daytime resources and services, temporary supportive housing, and individualized wrap-around supports for young people aged 15–24.

2023 REALTORS® Community Foundation AGM

You’ll get to work alongside volunteers and possibly students to help prepare lunches for students that will be delivered that day. RCF funded $5000 to the program in Fall 2022!

Join us to help prepare bags for run and walkers with Compassion House Foundation’s Walk Her Way 5k!
Volunteer: Edmonton's Food Bank
We need 6 volunteers to help sort Food Bank Donations on March 21 from 1-4PM. At the time of writing, masks will be required during your volunteer shifts.
Youth are welcome to volunteer if supervised, please advised if you will be bringing children along so we can confirm age expectations with the Food Bank.

Coldest Night of the Year Walk
The Coldest Night of the Year is a walk that raises money for folks in our community who need our help. Some of them hungry, more than a few hurting and regrettably, some who are homeless too. Adults, moms and kids, seniors and youth as well.

P.S. Last year, over 31,000 walkers across Canada joined this event raising just under $12 million dollars - it's Canada's National Walk for Homelessness.

Family Fun Day: Sell 50/50 Tickets @ Oil Kings
Volunteers must arrive to Ford Hall for 2PM. The Game begins at 4PM and sellers will be selling until the end of the game - we guesstimate 7PM.
We require 12 volunteers to sell 50/50 tickets at the Oil Kings game on Sunday, January 22!
This will be RAE’s Family Fun Day, so sellers will not be able to attend that event, though you are able to purchase tickets for your family to go.
Sellers must be over the age of 18. Parking is free downtown on Sundays!

This is a nationally coordinated campaign to feature REALTORS® in the community, organized by CREA. All are welcome to join and pull up your sleeves for charities that address hunger, shelter and accessibility. New opportunities being added in the upcoming weeks.

Help sorting food at the Edmonton Food Bank from 1-4PM, youth over 12 are welcome to join. Note: All volunteers must provide proof of vaccination and wear a mask for this activity per current guidelines of the organization. (up to 6 volunteers)

Meal Prep a Ukrainian Feast to serve to youth at YESS from 2-6PM

Meals on Wheels Delivery
Help deliver meals to Meals on Wheels clients! You will be given meals and a route in an area of the city to deliver to folks in need. See the impact the Foundation has made on Meals on Wheels through our flagship program below.
Use of own vehicle is required. Proof of vaccination and wearing of mask if required for volunteering at this organization.

Volunteer: Chinatown Litter Cleanup
We are excited to be joining the Chinatown Transformation Collaborative (CTC) for a Saturday morning litter cleanup! This monthly activity brings together various community groups to tidy up the streets of Chinatown. The CTC is working to strengthen safety, renew interest and investment, celebrate the culture and ultimately create a vibrant and inclusive space.
Many charities funded by the Foundation over the years are located in or close to Chinatown. We are looking forward to gathering REALTORS alongside other community members and agencies to clean the streets of an area that is home to so many.
Your garbage picker/bag/gloves will be provided. Please meet in front of Pacific Rim Mall by 11 AM to claim a zone. The cleanup typically takes one hour and dim sum is provided to volunteers by the CTC when the cleanup is complete!
