Support from organizations such as the REALTORS® Community Foundation allows us to continue to help women change the course of their lives and re-enter society as productive citizens. Recovery from any crisis is not about “fixing” people, it is about life and life-style change.

Six months ago the REALTORS® Community Foundation donated $5,000 to support the Counseling Programs of the Stop Abuse in Families Society. Although we thanked you before, let me take this opportunity to thanks the Foundation again. Thanks to the generosity of the REALTORS® Community Foundation we have been able to support families in crisis and need of support regarding domestic violence.

ISTAR - Institute for Stuttering Treatment and Research
Thank you for your support to our 2008 FAST (Financial Assistance for Stuttering Treatment) Fund campaign by providing a gift of over $7,600 to ISTAR. As you know, to struggle with stuttering can be very frustrating. However, to find stuttering treatment but not be able to access it due to financial limitations can be utterly devastating. Thanks to your generosity today, we are closer to our goal of raising $50,000 for the FAST Fund this year. Together, we will provide the needed financial assistance to enable low-income families to access the stuttering treatment they deserve.

Since 1997 the REALTORS® Community Foundation has provided over $534,000 to feed hungry children in Edmonton.
YWCA - 2009 Women of Distinction
On June 11, 2009 the Board of Governors had the privilege of attending the 27th YWCA Women of Distinction Awards Gala.

In the August 21 - September 16, 2009 issue of Edmonton's Real Esate Guide, the Foundation was lucky enough to have a 2 page spread! It features our 2009 Habitat for Humnaity project and the 2009 Ride for KIDS.
